As the countdown to the New Year commences, hold fast to this truth: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23 NIV). The LORD has been faithful to us in 2025. Through every struggle, hardship, victory and joyous celebration, God has been there.

And as we approach a New Year, we can be certain of his kindness, mercy and love towards us. We can trust in his timing and rest in his faithfulness. For we serve a God, who keeps his promises; we serve a God “who will continue his work until the day it is finally finished on the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:6)

Now, let us go forth with confidence in the one who loves us most. For our God says to us now as he did to the children of Israel long ago, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; …” (Isaiah 43:1-3 NIV).
