Rev. Joan Cornelison
Founder and President
Joan, who grew up in Kenya, East Africa, is an ordained minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ and popular conference speaker. Her career includes service as an inspiring college professor, devoted pastor and visionary non-profit administrator. Joan earned a Bachelor of Education Degree (1986) and Masters of literature Degree (1990) from Kenyatta University, Nairobi, Kenya, a Certificate in Christian Ministries (1997) from Kuyper College, Grand Rapids, Michigan, and a Master of Divinity Degree (2000) from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Joan's life verse is Proverbs 3: 5-6"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Claudia graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations. Claudia has spent her career working for Christian organizations, and is currently working as Creative Design Manager for an international radio ministry based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
In 2013, Claudia and her husband traveled the world as volunteer journalists, creating promotional videos and writing stories about the missionaries in 26 countries. When not working or traveling abroad, Claudia enjoys camping, crafting, and singing on the praise team.

Erika graduated from University of Detroit Mercy in 2013 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN). She has nursing experience in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Labor and Delivery, and currently works as an Anesthesia Clinical Nurse for Spectrum Health Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. While traveling in South Sudan on a mission trip in 2015, the Lord sparked a passion in her to serve others beyond the borders of the United States.
Erika is currently furthering her education and is attending Walden University for a Master’s of Science in Nursing, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, with a focus on women’s health. Erika is committed to helping women of all ages become all that God intends them to be.
Ashley graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in Psychology. She is currently working for a Christian non-profit organization in Grand Rapids. Ashley spends a great deal of her time volunteering with different local organizations and with her local church, but a majority of her time volunteering is spent with a student organization at Grand Valley State University. Ashley has a deep love and passion for those who are marginalized. She is particularly excited to partner with Esther's Hope Ministries in helping young women succeed in life. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and playing with her puppy, Edward.
