God is Prepared

Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.
                                                                                                                         (Isaiah 65: 24)

Last week, I inquired whether you are prepared for what’s coming. The whole world is shifting, and we are entering a different and much more challenging spiritual season. This season will require greater spiritual wisdom and discernment as false teachers and false prophets proliferate.  This season will require spiritual maturity. This is our part; we must work out our salvation with fear and trembling, daily surrendering to our Lord and Savior, Jesus, the Christ.

Here is the good news; God is always prepared.  If it were entirely up to us, if we had to handle all the preparations in our own strength, we would not make it. God in his mercy and grace knows that we cannot do it alone.  This is why he sent the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth.  He sent the Holy Spirit to be our teacher, counselor, guide and helper.

God’s word reminds us through the prophet Isaiah, “Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear (Isaiah 65:24). Think about it, God hears the petitions of our hearts, he discerns our needs before we even speak and as the Bible says, “his Spirit intercedes for us through wordless groans.” (Romans 8:26)Our God is prepared.

Again, we are reminded, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you” (Isaiah 43:2). God’s word encourages us to be bold in this season. Not brash or arrogant, but bold. His holy word assures us of his Presence and his power when life gets rough.  It reminds us that we are not alone when struggle and discouragement enter our lives. Our Father is always prepared.

And just as he kept his covenant promise with the children of Israel after they returned from their 70-year captivity in Babylon, our God keeps his promise today with all who return to him from captivity to sin; he keeps his promise with all who believe in him and who reverence him.  Our God is always prepared to welcome his people unto himself.  We can lean on him and be safe. AMEN.
